| 1) To fix the education formula for state education aid to cities and towns that does not work for a district like the 2nd Plymouth District--by introducing new variables to the formula. 2) To provide more state funding to non-profits that deal specifically with drug- and substance-abuse prevention in both cities AND towns and in working-family and rural areas of our state. 3) To fix the Route 44 rotary project; get year-round commuter rail to Wareham; keep Middleborough's train station where it is, the way Middleborough wants it. Funding would come from a non-earmarked millionaires' tax. |
